Chief Justice Rabner announced that Judge Marysol Rosero has been temporarily assigned to the Appellate Division. Her term of service there began on April 6 and runs until May 31.

Judge Rosero earned her bachelor's degree at Baruch College and a Masters at Rutgers University. She holds a J.D. from the SUNY-Buffalo School of Law.

After law school, Judge Rosero was on both sides of the “v.” She was a staff attorney for Essex-Newark Legal Services and then an Assistant Prosecutor at the office of the Essex County Prosecutor. She then became a Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Attorney General’s Division of Criminal Justice. She had been in that role for fifteen years when Governor Christie appointed her to the Essex County bench in 2014. Judge Rosero has sat in the Family and Criminal Divisions before receiving this temporary assignment.
