Marie Hanley Will Become Clerk of the Appellate Division Effective March 1, 2025

As announced today, Joseph Orlando, who has been the Clerk of the Appellate Division for 15 years, and has served the judiciary for 24 years in total, will be retiring. Marie Hanley has been designated his successor, effective on March 1, 2025. She has been with the Appellate Division since 1987 and has worn many hats, beginning as a staff attorney and later serving as Deputy Chief Counsel, Supervising Attorney for the Appellate Division, Deputy Clerk for Administrative Services, and Deputy Clerk for Case Management. There could not be a more well-credentialed person to fill the shoes of Joseph Orlando. Congratulations to them both!
